AN INTERVIEW WITH ALYSSA MARIE COON
ARTIST’S HOUSE: Who is Alyssa Marie Coon?
ALYSSA MARIE COON: The “nice girl next door” who is also a confident entertainer, Alyssa Marie is a Florida based 14 year old Country singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She captures the audience with her voice, stage presence, and audience participation songs. At 7, Alyssa began taking classical piano lessons. Watching Danielle Bradbery win season four of The Voice, Alyssa became inspired to sing. Her love of country music exploded as she started listening to and singing covers by Sarah Evans, Taylor Swift, and others. Because Alyssa plays piano and understands music theory, she quickly learned to play the guitar and ukulele. This helped her with songwriting, and Alyssa wrote her first song “You Saved Me” at the age of 12. She’s written many songs since and her music is played all over the world. For the past 4 years, Alyssa has been one of the opening acts for Vanilla Ice’s Block Party in Florida performing for 10,000 people. In 2018, Alyssa had the honor to sing at Chicago Symphony Hall. She performed at Coral Sky Amphitheater for the same venue as Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Russell Dickerson.
This year, Alyssa entertained at the Commodore and at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. Alyssa opened for Tracy Lawrence along with Nashville Recording Artist, Walker Montgomery. She sang at Carnegie Hall in June, and performed at the same venue as Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi and Tenille Townes in July. Alyssa also enjoys photography, playing volleyball, watching YouTube and getting together with friends and family. A professional coach has described Alyssa as “every bit of a teenage girl trying to find her footing in life and relationships at home and an unassuming monster once she stomps on stage with a look of determination and excitement only she knows.” Come watch this rising star!
